Basketball Game Preview: Burkburnett Bulldogs vs. Randall Raiders

The Burkburnett Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Randall Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Burkburnett has six straight victories, Randall has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Burkburnett's tournament run continued when they took on Kennedale on Saturday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 70-61 win over the Wildcats.

Burkburnett found their leader in sophomore Kingston Gould, who dropped a double-double with 34 points and 11 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gould has scored at least a third of the Bulldogs' points. Another player making a difference was Ayden White, who went 9-for-17 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Randall scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Frenship by a score of 79-77. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

Burkburnett's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Randall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
