Basketball Game Preview: Smith Valley Bulldogs vs. Virginia City Muckers

Smith Valley hasn't had much luck against Virginia City recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Smith Valley Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Virginia City Muckers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Smith Valley sitting on 11 straight wins and Virginia City on 13.

Smith Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Pyramid Lake by a score of 73-66 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Virginia City blew past Whittell, posting a 78-11 victory. The Muckers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Virginia City pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Smith Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
