Downers Grove South won the last time they faced Bolingbrook and things went their way on Monday too. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Raiders 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Downers Grove South who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 17-25, 25-18.

Jayda Dixon paced Downers Grove South's offense, picking up eight kills. Dixon got some help from Bridget Bastian and her 13 assists. Dixon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Downers Grove South's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bolingbrook, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Downers Grove South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Berwyn/Cicero Morton on the 9th. As for Bolingbrook, they will take on Thornwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
