Baseball Game Preview: Prince Edward County Eagles vs. Nelson County Governors

Prince Edward County hasn't had much luck against Nelson County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Governors at 5:30 p.m. Prince Edward County has given up an average of 14.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Prince Edward County fell victim to Lunenburg Central and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 20-0 to the Chargers.

Charles Scott III made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Nelson County also failed to score in their most recent game. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy on Thursday.

Prince Edward County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Nelson County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Prince Edward County might still be hurting after the 16-3 defeat they got from Nelson County in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
