Calhoun Academy fell victim to Orangeburg Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-0. The Cavaliers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cullen Sightler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

Calhoun Academy's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 15-6. As for Orangeburg Prep, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
