Basketball Recap: North Mac's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

North Mac's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They took down the Jacksonville Crimsons 46-31. That looming 46-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Despite the loss, Jacksonville still got an impressive performance from Maressa Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. Those 15 boards gave Williams a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zara Harper, who posted seven points.

With the win, North Mac broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7. As for Jacksonville, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

North Mac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 32-25 victory against Southwestern on the 12th. As for Jacksonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 33-30 loss against Granite City on the 12th.
