Kennedy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the American Eagles get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered an 8-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Nick Owsley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Michael Pickett was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

The win got Kennedy back to even at 9-9. As for American, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kennedy beat the Eagles by a score of 6-3 on Friday.
