It was a good run, but Olympia unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 7-2 to the Athens/PORTA Warriors. Olympia were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Madi Barnes and Elyse Eimer scored both of Olympia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Olympia's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10-2. As for Athens/PORTA, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Olympia will face off against Peoria Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Athens/PORTA, they will host North Mac at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Athens/PORTA's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while North Mac have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
