Basketball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Valley lost against Piute back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Valley Buffalos fell to the Piute Thunderbirds 59-53. While the Buffalos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Thunderbirds 19-14 in the first quarter.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Piute, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Piute, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Whitehorse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitehorse is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season.
