Basketball Recap: Brookside Takes a Loss

After flying high against Open Door Christian last Saturday, Brookside came back down to earth. The Brookside Cardinals took a blow against the Avon Eagles on Friday, falling 89-51. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-29.

Brookside moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Avon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookside will face off against Black River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Avon, they will challenge Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berea-Midpark is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 92 points per game this season.
