Newton HomeSchool piles up the points against Non Varsity Opponent

Recap: Newton HomeSchool Panthers vs. Non Varsity Opponent
The Newton HomeSchool Panthers posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They really took it to Non Varsity Opponent for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-27 victory at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Newton HomeSchool also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Jaquale Schumm was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Newton HomeSchool's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Bungard, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Newton HomeSchool's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Non Varsity Opponent, their loss dropped their record down to 92-198-1.
Newton HomeSchool will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wichita Defenders HomeSchool at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Non Varsity Opponent won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bethel Christian Academy at 11:15 a.m. on January 20th.
