Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Faith Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 64-38 takedown of Mountain View Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Faith Christian Academy Falcons were beaten by the HEARTS for Jesus Christ Guardians 68-24 on Thursday. The Falcons lost against the Guardians in their previous head to head back in March of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-43 score last time.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Lenarth, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 23 points and five boards. Those 23 points gave Lenarth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Longo, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 17 points.

Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for HEARTS for Jesus Christ, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-6.

Faith Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for HEARTS for Jesus Christ, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tournament Team at 8:45 a.m. on Friday.
