Basketball Recap: Benson Find Success

Benson won the last time they faced San Miguel, and Dawson Judd did his part to make sure it happened again. The Benson Bobcats put the hurt on the San Miguel Vipers with a sharp 61-39 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Judd, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played.

Kellen Deskins was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Benson's record is now 9-17. As for San Miguel, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

When Benson and San Miguel next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Benson will try to stop North Valley Christian Academy's ten-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, San Miguel will face off against Bisbee and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
