Softball Recap: Oliver Springs Takes a Loss

Oliver Springs lost against Wartburg Central back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bobcats came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 10-3. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oliver Springs saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenzie Russell, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Oliver Springs now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Wartburg Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Coming up, Oliver Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Eagleton College & Career Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Wartburg Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Sunbright at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
