Baseball Recap: Bentonville West's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Bentonville West's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Har-Ber Wildcats. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wolverines as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Will Geiger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bentonville West is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-11 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jeremiah Jones, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Damion Bridgeman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
