Centennial has gone a perfect 10-0 against Alamogordo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Centennial will head out on the road to face off against Alamogordo at 5:00 p.m. Centennial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, Centennial was able to grind out a solid victory over Roswell, taking the game 8-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Cole Alons was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Centennial is undefeated when Alons posts three or more RBI, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Grajeda, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Alons wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Centennial lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Alamogordo took on Deming on Saturday. Alamogordo lost 7-1 to Deming. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Wildcats since May 3, 2019.
Alamogordo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden McGinnis, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Centennial's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Alamogordo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Centennial has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Alamogordo struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Centennial took their victory against Alamogordo in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-3. Does Centennial have another victory up their sleeve, or will Alamogordo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
