Baseball Game Preview: Clear Brook Wolverines vs. Atascocita Eagles

The Clear Brook Wolverines will face off against the Atascocita Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Clear Brook nor Atascocita posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Clear Brook is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Barbers Hill.

David Gracia was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those two earned runs gave him a new career-low.

Meanwhile, Atascocita fell victim to Deer Park and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Deer by a score of 1-0. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Atascocita saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JC Ortiz, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Ortiz's first of the season.

Clear Brook's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Atascocita, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
