Basketball Recap: Grand Canyon Falls Despite Big Games from Mase Begay and Tristan Lambon + How To Watch

Grand Canyon lost against Pinon back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Phantoms came up short against the Eagles, falling 74-49. The Phantoms were down 52-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Tristan Lambon and Mase Begay certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Lambon posted 20 points, while Begay almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Begay has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played.

Grand Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pinon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Grand Canyon will square off against BASIS Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinon, they will take on Many Farms at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
