Soccer Recap: Mt. Mansfield's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Burlington on Saturday, Mt. Mansfield came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the Essex Hornets by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The loss was Mt. Mansfield's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mt. Mansfield fell to 3-1-1. As for Essex, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mt. Mansfield will challenge rival Champlain Valley Union at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Essex is set to face off against their familiar foe Colchester at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
