Basketball Game Preview: Hillsboro-Deering Hillcats vs. Newfound Regional Bears

The Hillsboro-Deering Hillcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Newfound Regional Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Hillsboro-Deering and eight for Newfound Regional.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-16, which was the final score in Hillsboro-Deering's tilt against Conant on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Newfound Regional was beaten by Berlin 56-12 on Tuesday.

Newfound Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hillsboro-Deering, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Hillsboro-Deering took a serious blow against Newfound Regional in their previous matchup back in February of 2016, falling 79-25. Can Hillsboro-Deering avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
