 The Sumter Gamecocks will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Clarendon Wolverines at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Both teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Sumter: 4, East Clarendon: 3.5) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 Last Wednesday, Sumter got themselves on the board against Carolina Forest, but Carolina Forest never followed suit. They walked away with  a   4-0  victory over the Panthers. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Sumter.
 The result came thanks to  Marion Davis's shutout, as he gave up just two  hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings every time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Gavin Rivers was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 15  runs the game before, East Clarendon were a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Thursday. They suffered a  rough 12-2 loss at the hands of Pee Dee Academy.
 Sumter has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. As for East Clarendon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
 Sumter took their  win against East Clarendon  when the teams last played  back in February by a conclusive  10-3. Will Sumter repeat their success,  or does  East Clarendon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
