Preview: East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers vs. Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns
The East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as East Stroudsburg South comes in on three and Wallenpaupack Area on four.
Even though East Stroudsburg South has not done well against Bethlehem Catholic recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. East Stroudsburg South managed a 59-54 victory over Bethlehem Catholic.
Jaen Chatman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with seven assists and four steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of East Stroudsburg South's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mareek Williams, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Wallenpaupack Area sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 win over Pocono Mountain East on Thursday.
The win got East Stroudsburg South back to even at 4-4. As for Wallenpaupack Area, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
