Basketball Recap: Little Elm Beats Anna for Their Third Straight Victory

Little Elm had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 70-59 victory over the Anna Coyotes.

Little Elm got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kensington Candler out in front who went 6-for-15 to rack up 15 points. Candler's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Ian Berry was another key player, shooting 42% from the field on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Anna lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Noah Foster, who posted 16 points along with eight boards and three blocks. Another player making a difference was R.J. Gardner, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Little Elm's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Anna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Little Elm didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-40 win against Liberty on the 22nd. As for Anna, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-28 victory against Wilson on the 22nd.
