Basketball Recap: Southwest Legacy Comes Up Short

Southwest Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Katy Taylor Mustangs, falling 89-26. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 906th, while the Mustangs are ranked 162nd).

Southwest Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Katy Taylor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Southwest Legacy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Floresville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Katy Taylor and Boerne-Champion will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Katy Taylor's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
