Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Horn's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Horn won against Mesquite last Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Jaguars walked away with a 13-9 win over the Waxahachie Indians. This was a revenge game for the Jaguars: when they faced off against the Indians back in March, they had to take a 15-0 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Zoie Armstrong, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Jasmine Uribe was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Horn has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9-1 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14 runs. As for Waxahachie, they moved to 15-8 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Horn is set to challenge their familiar foe DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Waxahachie will face off against rival Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
