Softball Recap: Southside Christian Has No Trouble Against Eastside

Southside Christian won against Carolina Academy on Wednesday with 19 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Sabres were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over the Eastside Eagles. Considering the Sabres have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Southside Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Eastside, they dropped their record down to 1-18-1 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside Christian will head out to square off against Powdersville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastside, they will venture away from home to challenge Wade Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Generals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.21 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
