Flag Football Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. St. Mary's Rams + How To Watch

The Whitney Wildcats will take on the St. Mary's Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Whitney sitting on four straight wins and St. Mary's on three.

Whitney will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Oak Ridge, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Wildcats managed a 25-19 victory over the Trojans on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly six points.

Whitney found their leader in sophomore Lulu Im, who threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 79 yards and one score. Im has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played.

Whitney's defense made their presence known, laying out Maya Scipio three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kayla Mougeotte.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Lincoln with a sharp 26-0 win. Considering the Rams have won eight contests by more than 23 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Whitney, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
