Volleyball Recap: White County Warriors vs. Cookeville Cavaliers

If White County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Smyrna on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Cookeville Cavaliers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-14.

Lily Parker paced White County's offense, picking up nine kills. Parker got some help from Miah Jo Swindell and her 12 assists. Kylie Norvell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cookeville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Rich led the charge by getting six digs and three aces. What's more, Rich posted two kills, the most she's had over her last two contests. Brianna Harper was another key player, getting eight blocks, five kills, and four digs.

White County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cookeville, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
