Basketball Recap: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Comes Up Short

After flying high against Watseka last Tuesday, Paxton-Buckley-Loda came back down to earth. The Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers fell just short of the Westville Tigers by a score of 57-55 on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2014.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Westville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda and Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westville, they and Owen Valley will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
