Soccer Game Preview: Stone Mountain vs. Mt. Zion

The Stone Mountain Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Mt. Zion Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Zion took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Stone Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Stone Mountain turned things around against Douglass last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Astros by a score of 4-2. Considering the Pirates' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Mt. Zion was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Luella, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Mt. Zion's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Stone Mountain, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
