Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Haven). They claimed a resounding 81-47 victory over the Winfield Vikings. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Vikings are ranked 157th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Haven pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.5 points. As for Winfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Haven has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Cheney on the 25th. As for Winfield, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Labette County at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
