Volleyball Recap: Rich Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

It's playoff time, and Rich had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the St. Joseph Jayhawks by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The game was the first time the Rebels have beaten the Jayhawks on their court since October 28, 2016.

Rich was led to victory by Paige Smith and Leah Petersen. Smith had 40 digs and three aces, while Petersen had 13 digs and six kills. Smith has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Despite the loss, St. Joseph still got an impressive performance from Sophie Yates, who had 36 digs and two assists.

The win was the fourth in a row for Rich, bringing their record up to 18-11. As for St. Joseph, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight matches and leaves them with a 21-10 record.

Rich has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Panguitch on the 25th. As for St. Joseph, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Tabiona on the 25th.
