Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school girls basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2024-25 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Destiny Lunan of Millennium (Goodyear) is the 2024-25 Arizona MaxPreps Player of the Year. The 5-foot-10 senior guard led the Tigers to a 25-6 record and the Open Division state championship.

For the season, Lunan averaged 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 3.1 assists per game. In a 51-37 win over Valley Vista (Surprise) in the title game, she put up 37 points.
