Volleyball Recap: Wausau East Comes Up Short on the Road Against Colby

Wausau East had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Colby Hornets by a score of 2-1. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 21 in a row.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Wausau East sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 23-26, 15-8.

Among those leading the charge was Elizabeth Perez, who had 16 digs and one assist.

Wausau East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Reedsburg on the 30th. As for Colby, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Abbotsford on the 30th.
