Basketball Recap: Assumption Extends Winning Streak to Three

It's playoff time, and Assumption had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Royall Panthers by a score of 57-48 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Royals, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Assumption's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Royall, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-4.

Coming up, Assumption will face off against Cochrane-Fountain City on Thursday. The Royals will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Royall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
