Hickory Christian Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the University Christian Barracudas with a sharp 5-0 victory. Considering Hickory Christian Academy have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit University Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Grace Gordon (3), Kara Whitford, and Hannah Gordon.

Hickory Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five games. As for University Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coincidentally, Hickory Christian Academy and University Christian will both be playing Statesville Christian the next time they take the pitch. The Barracudas will head out to face the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
