Basketball Recap: Averill Park Comes Up Short

Averill Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 64-39 to the Niskayuna Silver Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Silver Warriors are ranked 48th).

Averill Park's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Niskayuna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Averill Park will square off against Colonie Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Niskayuna, they will be playing at home against Albany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
