Summit Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Cristo Rey by a score of 43-30.
Hampton Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 32 points or more this season. They breezed by Gateway Christian at home to the tune of 51-12. Given Hampton Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Gateway Christian is ranked 88th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hampton Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayla Crosby out in front who scored 22 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. The game was Crosby's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikaela Lee, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals.
Summit Christian Academy's win bumped their season record to 3-1 while Cristo Rey's defeat dropped theirs to 0-4.
