Preview: Vidalia vs. Long County

On Thursday Long County take on Vidalia at 7:00 PM. Long County are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.

It was all tied up at halftime, but Long County weren't quite Bryan County's equal in the second half when they met two weeks ago. Long County came up short against Bryan County, falling 14-28. Senior Tavon Anderson and junior Treyon Davis were two go-getters for Long County despite the defeat. The former rushed for 71 yards and 1 touchdown, while the latter rushed for 71 yards and 1 touchdown. One of the most memorable plays of the matchup was Anderson's 64-yard touchdown rush in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, everything went Vidalia's way against Tattnall County last week as they made off with a 42-14 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Vidalia had established a 35-14 advantage.

Vidalia's victory lifted them to 4-0 while Long County's loss dropped them down to 0-4. We'll find out if Vidalia can add another positive mark to their record or if Long County can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Vidalia's step.
