Football Recap: Dixie County Bears vs. Trenton Tigers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dixie County had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trenton Tigers 52-22. That looming 52-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.
Dixie County had a senior duo take command as Mister Williams rushed for 143 yards and four touchdowns and Drew Pleasant rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaheim Taylor, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
