Preview: Chewelah vs. Kettle Falls
After two weeks on the road, Chewelah is heading back home. On Friday they take on Kettle Falls at 7:00 PM. Chewelah have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
When you finish with 443.9 more yards than your opponent, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. Chewelah put a hurting on Mary Walker to the tune of 45-0. With Chewelah ahead 33-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Kettle Falls, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They took a serious blow against Wilbur-Creston last Friday, falling 0-42. Kettle Falls were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-36.
Chewelah's victory lifted them to 3-3 while Kettle Falls's loss dropped them down to 0-6. In their victory, Chewelah relied heavily on junior Jake Jeanneret, who punched in 3 rushing TDs and accumulated 255 passing yards. Kettle Falls will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
