Magna Vista had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Bassett Bengals. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Magna Vista's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Bassett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Coincidentally, Magna Vista and Bassett will both be playing Halifax County the next time they take the field. The Bengals will head out to face the Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
