Softball Game Preview: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Blackstone-Millville Chargers

The Bellingham Blackhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Blackstone-Millville Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither Bellingham nor Blackstone-Millville posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Bellingham came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Dedham, falling 8-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their meetings with the Marauders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Bellingham saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleigh Simpson, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Blackstone-Millville fell victim to Notre Dame Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 26-0 to the Rebels. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blackstone-Millville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bellingham, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
