Basketball Game Preview: Northwood Panthers vs. Rural Retreat Indians

The Northwood Panthers will head out to challenge the Rural Retreat Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Northwood came up short against Chilhowie on Tuesday, falling 69-46. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rural Retreat). They claimed a resounding 74-35 victory over Honaker. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Rural Retreat, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-14.

Northwood strolled past Rural Retreat in their previous meeting on January 14th by a score of 56-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
