Softball Recap: Desert Hot Springs Takes a Loss

Desert Hot Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Perris Panthers, falling 18-9. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 15-12.

Desert Hot Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Perris, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Coming up, Desert Hot Springs will take on Cathedral City at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Perris, they will challenge Rancho Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.2 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
