Volleyball Recap: Christian Academy's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

If Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Dominion Academy on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against Mars Hill Academy on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Christian Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mars Hill Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13, 25-18.

Serenity Abbott paced Christian Academy's offense, picking up three kills. Abbott got some help from Kelsi Hiler and her eight assists.

With the defeat, Christian Academy broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-9. As for Mars Hill Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 26-1.
