Basketball Recap: Madison West Takes a Loss

Madison West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Sun Prairie West Wolves and fell 87-25. While losing is never fun, the Regents can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Wolves are ranked 185th).

Madison West's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Sun Prairie West, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Coming up, Madison West will welcome Janesville Parker at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison West is facing Janesville Parker at the right time seeing as Janesville Parker is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sun Prairie West, they will host Dominican at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
