Preview: Harrison Hoyas vs. Marietta Blue Devils
After five games on the road, Harrison is heading back home. They will take on the Marietta Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Harrison suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Tuesday. They took a serious blow against North Paulding, falling 67-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Harrison has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Marietta unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They suffered a tough 79-55 loss at the hands of North Paulding. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marietta in their matchups with North Paulding: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Marietta saw an underclassman step up: Kyann Senior scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Senior has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Frances Storey, who scored seven points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Marietta, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.
