Basketball Recap: Grenada's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Grenada had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down the Winona Tigers 61-47 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Grenada found their leader in freshman Joshua Guess, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Richard Smith was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

Grenada's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for Winona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grenada will take on Lafayette in a tournament on December 27th. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Grenada has lost three straight at home , while Lafayette has lost four on the road. As for Winona, they will welcome Eupora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Eupora's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
