The Fabens Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 28-7 walloping at the hands of Clint. Fabens has struggled against Clint recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Erick Ortiz threw for 53 yards and a touchdown on only three passes. Javier Hernandez was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Jesus Jimenez Trujillo threw for eight yards on three of eight attempts.
Among those leading the charge was Colin Ivey, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Zach Delgado, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Fabens' defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.4 points per game. As for Clint, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
